The curriculum is fun. My daughter looks forward to joining the classes everyday. I think the 4 day event is just right for the children to get to know the techniques and the love for music. My daughter enjoys every class by Dr Terry Durbin the most and she is forever looking forward to attend his class. He gets the parents to join in with the children’s learning, which helps in parent and child bonding!

Interesting and fun. Engaging with a lot of interaction. Knowledgeable and energetic. Staff are helpful and friendly.

A good mix of fun and learning during technique and orchestra lessons. Ms Kam Ning was encouraging and patient and feedback given during masterclass was most useful. She helped the participants to visualize the character of each piece. Dr Terry and Mr Randal brought out the smiles and laughters in the participants such that they find joy in playing their violins. Jay enjoyed the SISC conference greatly. When told that he had to wait another 2 years for the next one, he went what?! That’s too long to wait!.

It is excellent, a truly eye opener for first timer. 4 days of just being imnersed in music and being around musicians.They are amazing, if only all of them are based in Singapore!

Conference are well organised. A wide range of different classes to expose the children. All the lecturers are fantastic! We have Dr Terry Durbin for both orchestra and technique. It’s been a great experience for both myself and my daughter. We will definitely sign up again for the next conference.

Rich in depth and range yet a well balanced curriculum. Professional and strict often with a tint of humor for the
rainbow during classes. Keep up the good organisation and rich curriculum.

Curriculum on the whole was engaging. The newly added improvisation class was a hit with my kid! So happy to see the participants opening up and expressing themselves freely through their instruments during the class. Hopefully we will have the class again at the next conference! All the clinicians we had were very inspiring and encouraging, besides bringing with them their expertise. This is our third conference, and my child still wants more! Kudos to all the clinicians and staff!

Fantastic opportunity for the kids to be immersed in music & play as part of an orchestra! Matthew really enjoyed himself. Hoepfully this can be yearly. Keeps the kids inspired!

Throughout this camp, I have learnt new skills and knowledge. This camp is a kinda fun and interesting. Besides, I made new friends here. This camp help improve my skills. Teachers were interesting and funny. Last but not least, this camp helps me a lot.

It is wonderful and very well-organized. My 2 girls and boy love Dr. Terry so much that they look forward to it. It will nice if the next SISC can be longer like 1 week or 5 days. My kids simply love it and find it too short.

A conference that appeals to all our senses! Inspiring and enjoyable. Introducing the Dalcroze class into the circulation is refreshing! Hope to have vocal workshop incorporated next time.

To me, this string conference was awesome. This camp made me brave. I have learnt lots of new knowledge throughout this camp. Besides, teachers here were funny, kind and helpful. I had lots of fun during Orchestra. The teacher was kind of funny. Apart from this, I have learnt lots of new skills in masterclass. I love this camp.

The string conference is really an enjoyable experience for me. I learnt many things from this conference. I wish that conferences like this will occur often.

This conference is well organised. I learnt a lot from talks given by Ms. Ramona Stirling/Mr. Michael Mclean(Inspiring your child to love music) and Linda Fiore/Dominic Fiore(a meal or a gourmet experience) and I enjoyed the talks with Terry on special effects with your instrument. Overall this camp inspiresmy child and myself to love and appreciate music. Thank you. Well done.

Congratulations on another well organized SISC event. Megan and Joshua actually really enjoyed themselves tremendously. “Actually” because previous years, they didn’t like it, but we still wanted them to go because we felt it was a good learning experience. This year, both kids actually looked forward to going back for SISC the next day throughout the program.

I think the overall program is very concise, well run and timing fantastic. Of course, the dedication of the teachers and administrators make it work.

Fantastic! The programmes are well organised. We love the packed lunch and buffet ideas. This place is great for all musicians, big and small. Emma has enjoyed the conference so much! As the year draws to an end and everyone feels lazy and tired, the conference adds a surge to the thinning enthusiast. Well done to everyone! We love this event!

The SISC 2010 is simply great. The teachers are fun and encouraging. I’m so motivated that I continue to practise even after a whole day of playing my violin.

The lesson was very fun and the teachers are very funny. I learnt many new pieces of music and Mr. David Madsen conducted the class very well.

I am very pleased and greatful to be a part of SISC 2010, which was very well organized with the exceptional support of all teachers and principal involved. Great conference! Lots of learning for Colin. Definetly brought up the interest level in music and especially playing the violin. Eye opener for Colin especially in playing orchestra, understanding dynamic and emotions expression thru music.
